关联翻译理论视角下的科幻小说《暮晨夜》英汉翻译报告

美国非裔科幻作家是科幻小说领域中不可忽视的的作家群,他们批判弱势群体遭受到的不平等社会待遇,揭示举步维艰的发展奋斗历程,对于学者研究美国非裔作家寻求主流文化认同有特殊意义。奥克塔维娅·巴特勒是美国非裔科幻作家群体中最具代表性的作家之一,她在1995年成为第一位以科幻小说获得麦克阿瑟奖的小说家。本翻译报告选取其作品The Evening and the Morning and the Night(《暮晨夜》)进行翻译并撰写翻译报告,内容涉及一群杜里埃病患者的故事,此作品曾在1987年获得“年度科幻小说读者喜爱奖”,也曾经入围“西奥多·斯特金纪念奖”和“星云奖最佳中篇小说奖”,目前尚无中文译本。针对《暮晨夜》的文本特点,笔者在本篇翻译报告中以关联翻译理论作为指导,对原文进行英汉翻译并撰写出翻译报告。报告由五部分组成,第一章主要介绍背景知识、翻译过程以及本次翻译报告的重要性;第二章分析了本作品的写作特点,即科学性、幻想性以及情节性;第三章着重于介绍关联翻译理论,包括最佳关联和翻译过程中三方面制约推理的因素:词汇信息、逻辑信息和百科信息;第四章为案例分析,译者通过选取大量的翻译实例,探究如何在...
