主位推进理论视角下议论性散文的英译研究

主位推进是实现语篇衔接与语义连贯的重要方法,体现了语篇信息的组织结构与发展方向。很多学者基于主位推进理论进行了一系列的翻译研究。然而,以往的研究多集中于新闻报道、科技文本、政治报告等应用文本,涉及文学文本的研究较少,散文则更不多见。散文是一种文学体裁,中文散文最显著的特点是形散神聚,这一特点使其英译更加复杂。因此研究中文散文的主位推进模式有助于译者更深入地剖析其原文的行文结构、全面理解译文,从而更有效地生成译文。本研究以10篇中文议论性散文及其英译译文为语料,以小句为单位对比分析它们的主位推进模式,探究他们在主位推进模式上的异同,进而指出主位推进理论对议论性散文英译的启示。具体的研究问题如下:1.中文议论性散文及其英译文本的主位推进模式有何特点?2.英译议论性散文时应采取什么翻译方法?为什么?本研究所选择的10篇中文议论性散文均为历届韩素音翻译竞赛汉译英部分的原文,英译版本为韩素音翻译竞赛组委会给出的刊登于当年第6期《中国翻译》上的官方参考译文。本文的主要研究结果如下:议论性散文主要使用平行型主位推进模式,不相关模式次之。其英译文本则主要使用延续型以及集中型模式,平行型与不相关模式的数量...
