《飞毡》英译的文学性再现研究

本论文以余丹译西西小说《飞毡》为研究对象。《飞毡》是西西“童话写实”风格的主要代表,作品想象大胆、叙事童话、文风冷静,用杂合的语言描绘了香港百年殖民史中普通民众的生活。译者在英文翻译中力图通过再现原作的文学性特征以保留小说的文体和语言风格。文学性最早由雅各布森作为文学研究的对象提出,特指文学文本区别于非文学文本的语言和形式特征的总称。这些特征赋予文学文本陌生化效果。什克洛夫斯基提出的陌生化通过具有难度的形式,揭示熟悉事物陌生的一面,从而唤醒人们对生活不同寻常的感受。前景化的语言和形式是文学中实现陌生化效果的手法。本文认为小说《飞毡》形式上的前景化主要体现在修辞上。本文基于文本对比的方法对原作语言和修辞的文学性特征在译本中的再现展开描述性研究。得到以下结论:(1)总体而言,译者以确保译文的可读性为翻译的首要任务;(2)语言层面,译者采用多种翻译策略,用音译和注解等方式保留原作中方言、外来词和自创词的陌生化效果;(3)修辞层面,译者创造性地再现了原作中不同修辞手法的效果。
