【摘要】：美国多产作家约翰·埃德加·韦德曼越来越受学者和批评家的关注。他凭借《昨日请你前来》和《费城之火》两度获得福克纳小说奖。大多数对他以及他作品的评论都是关于他后现代的写作技巧和以黑人为中心的主题。韦德曼的《霍姆伍德三部曲》讲述黑人家庭历史,包括《丹巴拉》、《藏身之处》和《昨日请你前来》三部小说。这是一本引人深思的书。然而目前还没有人从父亲的历史这一角度来研究该三部曲。本论文将从皮埃尔·诺拉的记忆场域角度来分析研究《霍姆伍德三部曲》中父亲的历史。本论文将分为三章。第一章讨论黑人家庭和黑人历史中父亲的缺席,以及父亲缺失给黑人社区带来的后果。黑人父亲的缺失使得后代们变成了迷失的一代,并因此想要追寻父亲的足迹。第二章探讨该小说是如何在记忆场域上追寻父亲的历史。这些记忆场域是空间、口头故事和蓝调音乐。霍姆伍德这个地方印刻着父亲的经历,口头故事记录着父亲的生活,蓝调音乐引人深思父亲的缺失,这三者帮助他们构建了父亲的历史。第三章总结追寻父亲历史的意义。黑人总是被白人至上的美国历史忽略或者抹除,在记忆场域上追寻的父亲的历史能够使黑人发现和构建一种第二层次的历史,那就是他们自己的历史,并且帮助他们重新确立自己的黑人身份。
[Abstract]:John Edgar Weidman, the prolific American writer, is getting more and more attention from scholars and critics. He won two Faulkner Fiction Awards for yesterday and the Fire of Philadelphia. The reviews are all about his post-modern writing skills and black centric themes. Veidemann's the Homewood trilogy tells the history of the black family. Three novels, including "Dambala", "hiding place" and "Please come yesterday". This is a thought-provoking book. However, no one has yet studied the trilogy from the perspective of his father's history. From the perspective of the field of memory, Earl Nora analyzes the history of the father in the Homwood trilogy. This thesis will be divided into three chapters. The first chapter discusses the absence of fathers in black families and the history of blacks, and the consequences of the absence of fathers on the black community. The second chapter explores how the novel follows the father's history in the memory field. These memory fields are spaces, oral stories, and blues music. Homewood is a place where father's experiences are imprinted. The oral story records the father's life, the blues music is thought-provoking father's lack, These three helped them to build their father's history. Chapter three summarizes the significance of pursuing father's history. Black people are always ignored or erased by the white supremacy of American history. The father's history in the field of memory can make blacks discover and construct a second level of history, that is, their own history, and help them to re-establish their black identity.
