从功能文体学角度分析《荆棘鸟》中主要女性人物的性格特征

【摘要】：功能文体学在现代文体学的研究中发挥着重要的作用。它以韩礼德的系统功能语法为理论基础，把语言看作是具有意义潜势的系统，主要从社会环境的层次对语言进行分析。功能主义理论对语言的分析更为全面，主要原因在于功能语言学更重视研究语言系统和外部环境之间的关系,从三大元功能，即概念功能,人际功能和语篇功能的角度来分析语言是韩礼德功能文体的核心。《荆棘鸟》是澳大利亚女作家考琳麦卡洛的一部著名小说，自这篇著名小说问世以来，无论国内还是国外，都有不少学者从不同的角度对它发表了颇有见地的评论，但从功能语法角度对其中的人物做研究的却不多见。在这种研究背景下，本文将从功能文体学的角度去分析该作品的主要女性人物菲，梅吉，朱丝婷的性格特征。本文首先对文体学以及系统功能文体学的基本理论作概括性介绍，，然后运用韩礼德功能文体学三大理论中的概念功能和人际功能对小说进行分析。本文主要从及物性系统，语气和情态系统等几个层面进行分析，进而挖掘其主要女性人物的性格特征。通过及物性和人际功能意义的分析，可以发现菲的沉默，压抑，梅吉的温柔，勇敢和抗争精神，以及朱丝婷的独立和叛逆。本文的研究目的主要有三个。第一，分析小说《荆棘鸟》中主要女性人物的性格特征。第二，运用系统功能文体学模式应用于文学语言的分析实践中，通过大量的实例分析验证系统功能文体学的阐释作用。第三，用系统功能文体学模式分析《荆棘鸟》，希望能对文学作品的理解和鉴赏提供一个新的视角。
[Abstract]:Functional stylistics plays an important role in the study of modern stylistics. The main reason is that functional linguistics pays more attention to the study of the relationship between language system and external environment, and from the three metafunctions, the main reason is that functional linguistics pays more attention to the study of the relationship between language system and external environment. From the perspective of conceptual function, interpersonal function and discourse function, language is the core of Halliday's functional style. Thornbush bird is a famous novel by Australian woman writer Colleen McCullough. Since the publication of this famous novel, many scholars have made some insightful comments on it from different angles, both at home and abroad. However, it is rare to study the characters from the perspective of functional grammar. In this research background, this paper will analyze the personality characteristics of the main female characters Fei, Meggie and Justine from the perspective of functional stylistics. This paper first introduces the basic theories of stylistics and systemic functional stylistics, and then analyzes the novel by using the conceptual and interpersonal functions of Halliday's functional stylistics. The tone and modality system are analyzed at several levels, and then the character characteristics of its main female characters are excavated. Through the analysis of the material and interpersonal functions, we can find fi's silence, depression, Meggie's tenderness, bravery and fighting spirit. And Justine's independence and rebellion. There are three main purposes of this thesis. Firstly, it analyzes the characters of the main female characters in the novel "Thorn Birds". Secondly, it applies the systemic functional stylistic model to the analysis practice of literary language. Through the analysis of a large number of examples to verify the interpretive role of system functional stylistics. Thirdly, it is hoped to provide a new angle of view for the understanding and appreciation of literary works through the systematic functional stylistic model analysis of the thornbush bird.
