英美“自由诗”术语的谱系:1908—1919

【摘要】："自由诗"(free verse)术语在英美自由诗运动之前就已产生,但它来自其他的理论资源,有另外的含义。现代英诗语境中的自由诗术语出现于1908年。英式自由诗术语产生后,并没有马上取代法式术语,而是呈现与法式术语共存互用的状态,有时甚至在一篇文章中交替使用。这种现象是复杂的力量相互作用造成的,除了将法式术语英语化的推力之外,也存在相反的力量:一些英美诗人发现英式术语和法式术语意义并不相同,认为英式自由诗术语是个错误命名。论文通过术语的使用揭示了自由诗初期理论的断裂性。
[Abstract]:The term "free verse" came into being before the British and American free poetry movement, but it comes from other theoretical sources and has a different meaning.The term "free poem" in the context of modern English poetry appeared in 1908.After the emergence of the English free poem term, it did not replace the French term immediately, but presented a state of coexistence and interoperation with the French term, sometimes interchangeably used in an article.This phenomenon is caused by the complex interaction of forces, in addition to the push to turn French terms into English, there is also the opposite force: some British and American poets find that British and French terms have different meanings.To think that the English term for free poetry is a misnomer.Through the use of terms, the thesis reveals the rupture of the initial theory of free poetry.
