狄更斯《双城记》中批判现实主义与浪漫主义研究

【摘要】：查尔斯·狄更斯，十九世纪英国最伟大的现实主义作家，创造了一个全新的批判现实主义时代，他的十四部伟大杰作揭露了并且深刻地抨击了十九世纪的英国。因此他被推崇为批判现实主义小说家的杰出代表，幽默和讽刺的艺术家，语言大师。乔治·吉辛曾高度赞誉狄更斯的作品为”召唤人们微笑和仁慈的心灵灯塔.”[1]（乔治·吉辛，1974）狄更斯的小说常被授予“现实主义”的称号。他的作品通过描写遭受困苦中的好人和受害者来深入地揭示严重的社会问题，以及与各种社会弊病相关的腐朽的议会系统、法庭，黑暗的监狱，其全部是资产阶级的象征。狄更斯的作品不可避免的受制于当时的社会环境和人们的思想，但他具有创造性的想象力是非常丰富的，充满激情的，其描绘现实社会的笔触是极其锋利的。同时他也吸收了浪漫主义作家如卢梭和华兹华斯的思想，其浪漫主义思想的特色充斥于他的作品中，《双城记》就是其中的代表之一。《双城记》（1895）是狄更斯的后期著作，，是一部基于法国革命的历史小说。《双城记》作为狄更斯不朽作品中最短的一部，它的情节确是最千回百转，精妙，而激动人心的。本文主要讨论、分析狄更斯《双城记》中的批判现实主义与浪漫主义，小说中的批判现实主义与狄更斯的浪漫主义形成鲜明对比。通过分析批判现实主义与浪漫主义各自的特征和其表现形式，本文阐述了《双城记》这个作品的情节发展是批判现实主义的过程，作者的笔锋是锐利的，充满批判现实主义的精神，但是美好的人物形象，以及小说的结局明显带有浪漫主义的色彩，这是作者对其所揭露的社会的一种理想化。最后，本文还认为，现实主义与浪漫主义相结合是狄更斯所特有的，此研究有助于提高人们对狄更斯的作品有更深入地认识。
[Abstract]:Charles Dickens, Britain's greatest realist writer in the nineteenth century, created a new era of critical realism. His fourteen great masterpieces exposed and deeply criticized the nineteenth century England. So he was praised as an outstanding representative of critical realism novelists, an artist of humor and satire, and a master of language. George Gisin spoke highly of Dickens's work as a "beacon of hearts that calls people to smile and mercy." [1] (George Gisin 1974) Dickens' novels are often given the title of realism. His works reveal in depth the serious social problems, the decaying parliamentary system associated with various social ills, the courts, and the dark prisons, all of which are symbols of the bourgeoisie by describing the good men and the victims of suffering. Dickens' works are inevitably subject to the social environment and people's thoughts at that time, but his creative imagination is very rich, full of passion, and his strokes describing the real society are extremely sharp. He also absorbed the thoughts of Romantic writers such as Rousseau and Wordsworth. His Romantic thoughts were full of characteristics in his works, and the Tale of two cities was one of them. A historical novel based on the French Revolution, A Tale of two cities, as the shortest of Dickens's monumental works, is indeed the most dramatic, subtle, and exciting plot. This paper mainly discusses and analyzes the critical realism and romanticism in Dickens'A Tale of two cities, while the critical realism in the novel forms a sharp contrast with Dickens's Romanticism. By analyzing the respective characteristics and forms of critical realism and romanticism, this paper expounds that the plot development of the novel is a process of critical realism, and the writer's stroke is sharp. It is full of the spirit of critical realism, but the beautiful characters and the ending of the novel are obviously romantic, which is a kind of idealization of the society which the author reveals. Finally, this paper holds that the combination of realism and romanticism is unique to Dickens, and this study will help people to have a deeper understanding of Dickens' works.
