[Abstract]:Philip Rothis is one of America's best writers, a middle-class Jew who grew up in Newark, New West, and studied at Bucknell University in Pennsylvania. Master of Arts degree from the University of Chicago after staying to teach English, speaking English writing. His first book, Goodbye, Columbus won the National Book Prize in 1960, and he published two more. In 1969, Ross published his third novel, "the complaint of Porter Noy," which received great financial returns and critical acclaim. In the American literary world caused a great uproar. Ross is criticized by Jewish society for his detailed and frank description of sex and for revealing the ugly aspects of Jewish life in his works. Scholars at home and abroad have made profound research on the rebellious spirit embodied in Potonoy's complaint, but all from the angle of racial identity. In this paper, Freud's psychology is used to analyze the protagonist's contradictory psychology and rebellious behavior, which shows Ross's critical consciousness of the nation's rigid tradition and moral precepts. It is intended to point out that the renegade behavior of the hero is essentially a reflection of the Jewish nation's dilemma between reality and tradition, which ultimately leads to tragedy. This paper consists of six chapters. In the first chapter, the author of the novel, Philip Ross, and his works are briefly introduced, as well as the reactions caused by this work in the literary world and the present situation of its research. The second chapter introduces Freud's theory of psychology, including Freud's theory of personality structure, ego, id and superego. And points out that different psychology will inevitably bring about different external behavior. In the third chapter, the author analyzes the treason of Alex, and expounds Alex's rebellious attitude towards family ethics, Jewish cultural tradition, moral ethics and the contradictory mood of the hero. The fourth chapter analyzes the causes of treason, including personal reasons, family reasons and social reasons. The last part of the fifth chapter points out one of the ultimate purposes of the analysis of this work and the inspiration of the analysis to modern society and modern people, and emphasizes the analysis of the rebellious characters in the works from the perspective of psychology. It truly reflects the inner contradictions and struggles of the hero, the unique social situation and national characteristics, and the achievement of various contradictions and dissimilation. Society should give young people a relaxed development environment, and young people should know how to master their own life course.
