《大象的眼泪》的后现代主义特征—不确定性

【摘要】：风靡世界的畅销书《大象的眼泪》是美国当代作家莎拉格鲁恩的成名作。该小说以后现代主义的叙事艺术，向读者讲述了一个发生在20世纪30年代美国巡回马戏团里的“三人一象”的骇人而浪漫的爱情故事，，反映了美国经济大萧条时期的世相人情，建构了一部贮满草根人生体验、充满人生况味真情的小说，体现了后现代主义的叙事特征—不确定性。 本论文分三部分阐述。 第一章简要的介绍了作者莎拉格鲁恩与《大象的眼泪》这部作品。集中介绍了小说作者其人、其文（生平、创作、文本、特点）和《大象的眼泪》的国内外研究概况；在此基础上，对后现代主义小说“不确定性”特征作诠释性解析。第二章对《大象的眼泪》的后现代叙事中不确定性的表现进行了分析，深入阐述了《大象的眼泪》的主题、情节、形象和语言的不确定性”，揭示了小说虚构的本质。第三章对《大象的眼泪》的后现代叙事不确定性的文化做出了详细解读。从“马戏团：悖论性意象存在的多维象征”、“大象：人格化意象言说的多重寓意”和“雅各：“我”之叙事角色的多重变奏“等三个层面对《大象的眼泪》的后现代叙事的不确定性特征进行了深入解读。“大象的眼泪有人类的哀与爱”，其“不确定性”的特征又隐含着某种确定性。 不确定性是后现代主义文学的基本特征之一。《大象的眼泪》这部后现代主义小说以丰厚、开放的意蕴和“有意味的艺术形式”，显示了后现代主义小说的叙事特征以及作者建构文本的独特艺术。
[Abstract]:The most popular book in the world, the tears of Elephants, is a masterpiece by American contemporary writer Sarah Gruen. The post-modernist narrative of the novel tells readers an appalling and romantic love story of "three people, one Image" that took place in the American Circus circuit in the 1930s, reflecting the world's affections during the Great Depression of the United States. This paper constructs a novel full of grassroots life experience, full of life conditions and true feelings, which embodies the narrative characteristics of postmodernism-uncertainty. This paper is divided into three parts. The first chapter briefly introduces the author Sarah Gruen and the tears of the Elephant. This paper mainly introduces the author of the novel, his works (life, creation, text, characteristics) and the "tears of the Elephant" at home and abroad, and on this basis, makes an explanatory analysis of the characteristics of "uncertainty" in postmodernist novels. The second chapter analyzes the expression of uncertainty in the post-modern narration of "tears of Elephant", expounds the theme, plot, image and language uncertainty of "tears of Elephant", and reveals the essence of fiction. The third chapter makes a detailed interpretation of the culture of post-modern narrative uncertainty in tears of the Elephant. From Circus: multidimensional symbolism of the existence of paradoxical imagery, "Elephant: the multiple moral of personified imagery" and "Jacob: the variation of narrative characters of me" are three levels to deeply interpret the uncertainty characteristics of the post-modern narration of "tears of Elephant". "Elephant tears have human sorrow and love", its "uncertainty" characteristic implies some certainty. Uncertainty is one of the basic features of postmodernist literature. Tears of the Elephant, this postmodernist novel has rich, open meaning and "meaningful art form". It shows the narrative characteristics of postmodernist novels and the author's unique art of constructing the text.
