《关于美》中的张力研究

【摘要】：《关于美》是英国当代小说家扎迪·史密斯的代表作之一，主要描述了贝尔西与基普斯两个家庭的故事。在贝尔西家庭里，丈夫与妻子是同一世界的两个极端，一个是白人一个是黑人，一个是英国人，一个是美国人，一个背叛了这个家庭，一个则选择了容忍。同一个家庭内部集种族冲突、国别差异和家庭矛盾于一体，本文以张力理论为理论基础，探讨了小说中的矛盾与冲突。张力是对立双方产生的一种力量。在整个文学活动过程中，在各种对立的文学元素构成的统一体中，各方并不消除对立关系，而是互相比较、衬映、抗衡、冲击，使读者的思维不断在各极中往返、游移，，在多重观念的影响下产生的立体感受。包孕矛盾冲突是张力最重要的特征。 本论文试图以此为线索，对小说中的种族冲突、国别文化差异和家庭矛盾进行分析。社会边缘的黑人与社会主流人群白人相互对抗，逐渐融入美国社会；不同的文化价值在英国与美国以及美国与海地人民之间碰撞，家庭矛盾在出轨的丈夫与宽容的妻子以及孩子的叛逆与成熟之间重叠。各种既独立又统一的矛盾冲突在文本中产生了巨大的张力。但产生矛盾冲突的双方最终并未分崩离析，而是在碰撞之后逐渐妥协与和解。这也是作者想要表达的核心价值观。
[Abstract]:About America is one of the masterpieces of Zadi Smith, a contemporary British novelist, who mainly describes the two families of Belsey and Keepps. In the Belsey family, husband and wife are two extremes of the same world. One is white, one is black, one is British, one is American, one betrayed the family, and the other chose tolerance. In the same family, ethnic conflicts, national differences and family contradictions are integrated. Based on the tension theory, this paper discusses the contradictions and conflicts in the novel. Tension is a force produced by the opposing parties. In the whole process of literary activities, in the unity of various opposing literary elements, the parties do not eliminate the antagonistic relations, but rather compare, set off, counterbalance, and impact on each other, so that the readers' thinking is constantly moving and wandering in the various poles. A stereoscopic feeling produced under the influence of multiple ideas. Including contradictions and conflicts is the most important feature of tension. This thesis attempts to analyze ethnic conflicts, national cultural differences and family conflicts in the novel. The black people at the edge of the society and the white people in the mainstream of the society confront each other and gradually integrate into American society; Different cultural values collide between Britain and the United States, as well as between the United States and the Haitian people, and family conflicts overlap between cheating husbands and tolerant wives, as well as rebellious and mature children. All kinds of independent and unified contradictions and conflicts have produced great tension in the text. However, the conflicting parties did not fall apart in the end, but gradually compromise and reconciliation after the collision. This is also the core values that the author wants to express.
