从女性主义叙事学视角分析《蝴蝶梦》和《吕蓓卡的故事》

【摘要】:达芙妮·杜穆里埃是英国20世纪著名的小说家和剧作家,她的创作领域十分广泛,包括短篇小说、长篇小说、传记等。发表于1938年的《蝴蝶梦》,是达芙妮·杜穆里埃的成名作,作为流行文学作品的范本,《蝴蝶梦》历经四十多次的重印和20多国文字的翻译,已在世界范围内享有广泛的影响力。《蝴蝶梦》的畅销,与它的多部改编小说以及电影文本有着极大的关系。虽然她的小说十分成功但是对于作者及小说的研究并不多见,直到女性主义的大潮席卷世界才有更多人对其作品的女性人物进行了进一步研究。无论是与勃朗特姐妹的《简爱》和《呼啸山庄》作比较,还是借用西方文论资源如哥特主义、浪漫主义、女性主义或者叙事批评把《蝴蝶梦》纳入学术视野,都展现了《蝴蝶梦》作为一个文学批评富矿所具有的文化和文本研究价值是无可置疑的。 萨莉·鲍曼(1944-)是英国的著名女作家,《吕蓓卡的故事》是对杜穆里埃的著名小说《蝴蝶梦》的大胆改编,它也给鲍曼带来了很高的声誉。国外《蝴蝶梦》相关研究不断增加,但是就两部作品进行对比研究的著作和文章很少,在国内,也有大量对杜穆里埃作品的研究,但是对《吕蓓卡的故事》的引介还只停留在原作作品,缺少原作的翻译和研究工作。本文从《蝴蝶梦》作品出发,勾连《蝴蝶梦》和它的续作《吕蓓卡的故事》,从女性主义叙事学角度来对两部小说进行分析,主要从叙事视角、叙述声音两个方面,深入剖析两部延续性小说中与女性主义相关的话题。 这两部小说时间跨度半个多世纪,本文认为,两部小说作为有时代延续性的文本,小说中的女性形象的变化体现了父权制社会中女性意识的不断觉醒,以及女性权威的艰难树立,通过对两部小说中女性形象的深入思考,可以以鲜活的实例考察女性主义批评所具有的文化价值和时代意义。 论文的第一部分主要介绍达芙妮·杜穆里埃和萨莉·鲍曼以及她们的代表作品,重点介绍《蝴蝶梦》和《吕蓓卡的故事》。第二部分是支撑该论文的女性主义叙事学理论,主要介绍叙事视角和叙述声音。论文的第三部分从叙事视角方面分析吕蓓卡这个角色,从婚姻观、身份认同和女性欲望等角度来进行详细的阐述。论文的第四部分从叙述声音角度来研究两部作品叙述者的叙述声音,女性在父权制社会就婚姻、就业、身份追寻等问题的态度,从而反应女性意识的不断觉醒,女性权威的逐渐建立。第五部分是结论,通过对作品的分析,展现女性人物的不断发展,女性权威得以建立。
[Abstract]:Daphne Dumbrier is a famous British novelist and playwright in the 20th century. She has a wide range of writing fields, including short stories, novels, biographies and so on. The Butterfly Dream, published in 1938, is a famous work by Daphne Dumoulier. As a model of popular literature, the Butterfly Dream has undergone more than 40 reprints and more than 20 translations in Chinese. The bestseller of Butterfly Dream has a great deal to do with its many adapted novels and movie texts. Although her novel is very successful, the study of the author and the novel is rare, until the feminism tide swept through the world, more and more people have carried on the further research to the female character of her work. Whether compared with the Bronte sisters Jane Eyre and Wuthering Heights, or using Western literary resources such as Gothic, Romanticism, Feminism or narrative criticism to bring the Butterfly Dream into an academic perspective. It shows the cultural and textual research value of Butterfly Dream as a rich ore in literary criticism. Sally Bowman (1944 -) is a famous British woman writer. The Story of Rebecca is a bold adaptation of Dumulier's famous novel the Butterfly Dream. It has also brought a high reputation to Bowman. Foreign "Butterfly Dream" related research continues to increase, but there are few works and articles on the comparative study of the two works. In China, there are also a large number of studies on Dumurier's works. However, the introduction of Rebecca's Story is still limited to the original works, which lacks the translation and research work of the original works. Starting from the works of the Butterfly Dream, this paper links the Butterfly Dream and its sequel, the Story of Rebecca, and analyzes the two novels from the angle of feminist narratology, mainly from the perspective of narrative and narrative sound. An in-depth analysis of the topics related to feminism in the two continuing novels. These two novels span more than half a century. This paper holds that, as a continuous text of the times, the changes of the female images in the novels reflect the continuous awakening of the female consciousness in patriarchal society, and the changes of the female images in the novels reflect the continuous awakening of the female consciousness in the patriarchal society. The second part is the feminist narratology theory, which mainly introduces the narrative perspective and narrative voice. The third part of the paper analyzes the role of Rebecca from the perspective of narrative, from the perspective of marriage, identity and female desire to elaborate in detail. The fourth part of the thesis studies the narrative voice of the narrators of the two works from the perspective of narrative sound, the attitude of women in patriarchal society on the issues of marriage, employment, identity pursuit and so on, so as to reflect the continuous awakening of the female consciousness. The gradual establishment of female authority. The fifth part is the conclusion, through the analysis of the works, show the continuous development of female characters, the establishment of female authority.
