从“诗歌吁求”看弥尔顿对西方史诗传统的继承与发展

【摘要】:在《失乐园》和《复乐园》中,弥尔顿沿用西方史诗传统,先后五次展开"诗歌吁求"。但他每次所用称呼均不相同,其中,"缪斯"和"尤拉尼亚"属于古希腊罗马史诗传统,而"圣灵"、"神圣的光"和"我天上的女诗神"则明显属于基督教史诗传统。然而,弥尔顿的"缪斯"和"尤拉尼亚"是被基督教化了的"天上的缪斯"。弥尔顿在"诗歌吁求"中坚持呼吁基督教史诗缪斯,强调其缪斯"胜过一切"的力量,为其史诗的圣经主题进行辩护,并重新定义"真正的史诗英雄"和"英雄主义"。由此,弥尔顿发展了西方史诗传统,在史诗史上占据了"永恒的经典地位"。
[Abstract]:In Paradise lost and Paradise recovery, Milton followed the tradition of western epic and launched poetry appeal five times. However, his address is different every time, in which "muse" and "Eulania" belong to the ancient Greek and Roman epic tradition, while "Holy Spirit", "Holy Light" and "my heavenly female Poetry God" obviously belong to the Christian epic tradition. However, Milton's Muse and Yurania are the Muse of Heaven, which was taught by Christ. Milton insisted on the Christian epic muse in his poetic appeal, emphasizing the power of his muse to "outweigh everything", defending the biblical theme of his epic, and redefining "true epic hero" and "heroism". As a result, Milton developed the western epic tradition and occupied the eternal classical position in the history of historical poetry.
