　　当代美国黑人文坛群星璀璨,黑人女性作家更是建树不凡。1993年诺贝尔文学奖得主托尼·莫里森（1931-）,是美国历史上唯一一位获此殊荣的黑人女性作家。她的作品深切关注美国黑人女性的生活经历,深刻反映了黑人特别是黑人女性在美国社会中,在她们各自生活的环境和集体中,在被种族歧视扭曲了的价值观的影响下,对自己生存价值和身份的探寻。莫里森也因其作品中独具匠心的结构布局、无与伦比的写作技巧和美国黑人女性生活状况的真实描述而受到评论界的广泛好评。二十世纪六十年代,随着妇女解放运动的高涨和黑人民权运动的发展,黑人女性主义文学批评提上日程。进入七十年代,美国黑人女性主义批评家已开始致力于恢复黑人女性写作的传统,重新阐释美国白人和欧洲文学批评的正统原则,并针对身份、种族、性别、叙述等概念建构了一套全新的理论。1977年,芭芭拉·史密斯在《迈向黑人女性主义批评》一文中描述了黑人女性主义批评的未来,并呼吁黑人女性主义批评应当大胆革新,体现黑人女性作家作品的勇敢精神。托尼·莫里森凭借其作品对黑人女子命运的关注、对黑人文化传统和独特的语言使用的继承以及在艺术上的创新追求,向前迈出了一大步。其处女作《最蓝的眼睛》...
