海明威小说的聚焦模式及其文体效果

小说是一门叙述的艺术,叙述方式的巧妙与否直接关系到作品的艺术魅力。而叙述视角是小说叙述技巧的一种惯用形式,法国作家福楼拜(Gustave Flaubert)与美国作家亨利·詹姆斯(Henry James)注重其在小说中的运用并以此作为调节叙述距离的重要工具。二十世纪六十年代,随着叙述学和小说文体学的兴起,小说的叙述视角成为叙述学和文体学的研究重合点。但是这两个学科对视角的研究重点颇为不同:叙述学者着重分析不同视角本质性的特征及其对视角的分类;而文体学家则对语言选择感兴趣,注重语言表达形式的特征,其中主要包括词汇、句型、标点、人称、时态等。从叙述学角度来看,视角起着调节叙述信息和距离的作用;从文体学角度来看,视角体现叙述者在叙述时通过文字表达流露出的立场观点、语气口吻等。前者直接作用于叙述结构,后者通过语言特色间接作用于叙述事件。本文旨在兼采两家之长,以文体学理论为指导,借鉴国外叙述学家和国内叙述学家对叙述技巧的研究成果,汲取国内外专家对海明威的精当评述,对海明威长短篇小说的聚焦模式进行分析、综合、比较、归纳,力图发现海明威作品中未被发现的长短篇小说聚焦模式的不同,以丰富海明威研究,让读...
