海明威对性，性别，欲望三位一体传统观念的质疑

　　由于海明威在作品中描写男性的追求,男性的态度,以及男性的气概,海明威一直与定型的男子汉概念联系在一起。评论家往往将他的女性角色类型化:不是魔女就是天使,因此他被谴责为一个男性至上主义者。然而,1986年出版的表现双性同体主题的海明威遗作《伊甸园》和1987年肯尼思。林恩发表的强调海明威作品中迥然不同的特性,主题和意象的长篇传记《海明威》,使评论家从社会性别角度对海明威小说中男性和女性角色有了重新评价。 本文试图用朱迪思。巴特勒的后现代女性主义理论,从三个方面:性别角色换装,性别角色转换,同性恋欲望,即这些“颠覆性的重复”对海明威两本小说《伊甸园》和《太阳照常升起》进行探索,阐明海明威并不是一个提倡传统性别角色,拥护男性至上的作家,而是一个试图解构男权社会中性,性别,欲望三位一体的作家。通过上述三个方面的分析,文章揭示海明威能意识到性别,性欲的不确定性,并对传统上用男性/女性,异性恋/同性恋的性别观点给社会性别下定义的可行性进行了置疑。文章进一步指出:这种对传统的背叛并不表示海明威倡导性别越位或者同性恋,而是揭示海明威对现代社会中社会性别角色变化和重构的深切关注。在这种意义上,本文...
