论诗歌翻译中文化因素的处理

【摘要】：交流文化与思想是翻译的主要目的之一。翻译，究其本质乃是一种文化活动。文化可以分为生态文化、物质文化、智能文化、社会文化、交际文化、制度文化、这六个方面，，这在一定的文本中相应体现为生态文化因素、物质文化因素、智能文化因素、社会文化因素、制度文化因素。要将原语文本中这些文化因素所包含的文化信息传达给目的语读者是翻译中的困难之所在。 诗歌作为文化的结晶，包含了许多文化信息，而这些文化信息在不同的文化背景下又具有不同的内涵，加上诗歌翻译本身的特殊性，它们的风味在绝大多数情况下极难原原本本地传达给目的语读者。本文提出六种翻译策略，即：直译法、意译法、音译法、脚注法，替代法和省略法，用来作为跨越文化鸿沟、实现诗歌翻译中的文化交流的途径。这些方法的应用将通过从《诗经》的两个英译本中选取的例子阐明，因为《诗经》在中国文学、文化上占有极其重要的地位。以引自《诗经》的例子来说明处理文化因素的翻译策略具有一定的代表性，还能为未来的诗歌翻译和其他翻译活动提供有益的借鉴。 本文通过引自《诗经》英译本的例子说明了六种翻译策略在翻译诗歌题目、内容中所包含的文化因素时的应用，并归纳出这六种策略用于处理文化因素时的优劣和适用条件，同时也指出对待翻译策略的正确态度应是具体问题具体分析，以实现最高程度的文化交流为标尺、并针对不同读者群体对目的语文本中文化信息含量的不同要求认真选择合适的翻译策略。好的译者要能灵活选用合适策略处理诗歌翻译中遇到的文化因素，通过诗歌翻译实现文化交流。
[Abstract]:The exchange of culture and thought is one of the main purposes of translation. Translation, in essence, is a cultural activity. Culture can be divided into six aspects: ecological culture, material culture, intelligent culture, social culture, communicative culture and institutional culture, which are corresponding to ecological cultural factors, material cultural factors and intelligent cultural factors in certain texts. Social and cultural factors, institutional cultural factors. It is difficult to convey the cultural information contained in these cultural factors in the original text to the target readers. Poetry, as the crystallization of culture, contains a lot of cultural information, and these cultural information has different connotations under different cultural backgrounds, together with the particularity of poetry translation itself. In most cases, their flavor is very difficult to convey to the target readers. This paper proposes six translation strategies, namely, literal translation, free translation, transliteration, footnotes, substitution and ellipsis, which are used as ways to bridge the cultural gap and realize cultural exchange in poetry translation. The application of these methods will be illustrated by examples selected from two English versions of the Book of songs, which play an extremely important role in Chinese literature and culture. Taking the examples from the Book of songs as examples to illustrate the representativeness of translation strategies for dealing with cultural factors, it can also provide useful references for future poetry translation and other translation activities. This paper illustrates the application of six translation strategies to the translation of poetry topics and the cultural factors involved in the translation of the Book of songs through examples from the English versions of the Book of songs, and sums up the advantages and disadvantages and applicable conditions of the six strategies in dealing with cultural factors. At the same time, it is pointed out that the correct attitude towards translation strategies should be a concrete analysis of specific problems, with the aim of achieving the highest level of cultural exchange as a yardstick. According to the different demands of different groups of readers on the content of cultural information in the target language text, appropriate translation strategies are carefully chosen. A good translator should be able to flexibly choose appropriate strategies to deal with the cultural factors encountered in poetry translation and realize cultural communication through poetry translation.
