【摘要】：随着工业文明向生态文明的转变，全球化生态思潮的发展，“生态”一词已成为一种思维方式，且被广泛地运用于各种科学研究领域。生态翻译理论（Eco-translatolagy）主要以“适应”与“选择”理论为基础，，从生态翻译学的视角对翻译的本质、过程、标准、原则和方法以及翻译现象等作出新的描述和解释。该理论依据汰弱留强的自然法则，从“三维转换”实践层面对译文的优劣做出评价，自2001创立起被广泛应用于文本翻译。 本文试图将该理论运用于戏曲翻译中，通过对伯奇、张光前和汪榕培分别翻译的《牡丹亭》三个英译本的翻译特点剖析了译者在“语言维”、“交际维”和“文化维”等方面所使用的三位转换策略，从而证明该理论对戏曲翻译的适用性。笔者希望通过本文的讨论，能够从生态翻译理论视角对昆曲翻译做出新的探讨。
