【摘要】：1996年,美国人类学家加利.帕尔默出版了他的专著《文化语言学理论构建》。帕尔默文化语言学在认知语言学的基础上,将文化因素纳入意象研究,把意象作为文化语言学的核心概念,他认为以意象为窗口,可以窥视各个民族语言使用者之间的内心世界和思维模式。 诗歌是语言的精华,意象是诗歌的灵魂。诗歌的内涵和作者赋予的情感是由具体的意象生发而来的,对意象的解读是诗歌审美的关键,也是诗歌翻译的重点和难点。唐诗被誉为我国文化的瑰宝,蕴含着各种丰富的意象。 语言是文化的载体和映射,而且颜色词是语言中的一部分。借助于色彩,唐代诗人为我们描绘了许多美丽动人的画卷。纷繁的色彩表现了诗人丰富的内心世界,再现了唐代的社会生活。色彩意象的艺术表现力和感染力在唐诗中达到了顶峰。尽管翻译界对唐诗的翻译有一定的研究,但是对唐诗颜色词意象再造的研究却并不多见。 本文以帕尔默文化语言学为视角,从其核心概念——意象入手,分析和比较了唐诗英译中颜色词意象再造,对意象翻译进行了探讨。意象再造是一个复杂的过程,译者要有跨文化的意识,尽可能传达出色彩意象的表现形式及其暗含的文化含义。在意象再造过程中,译者还要灵活的运用各种翻译方法和策略,把握好局部与整体的关系。 总而言之,完美的意象再造既有益于译文读者对原文的理解和对源语文化的认识与了解,同时又能够传递一种真实的审美体验。进而,使译文读者和诗人产生共鸣,达到文化传播与交流的目的。
