翻译认知过程视角下译者控制加工与自动化加工研究

【摘要】:自二十世纪八十年代以来,翻译认知过程研究成为翻译研究的重点,研究者以译者为中心,借用认知心理学理论分析译者翻译行为,研究译者大脑活动的规律,取得了丰富成果。其中,在译者的信息加工方式上,学者们利用自上而下加工与自下而上加工、平行加工与序列加工来研究译者的翻译心理活动,但是该两组加工方式不能完全概括翻译的认知过程。控制加工与自动化加工也是认知信息加工的一种方式,而翻译过程也是一种认知信息加工过程,因此本研究认为有进一步研究控制加工与自动化加工两种方式的必要性。本论文结合翻译认知过程研究成果及认知心理学理论,探讨译者控制加工与自动化加工,尝试性地构建译者控制加工与自动化加工模型,加深对翻译过程中大脑这个“黑匣子”的了解。 本文主要探索了译者控制加工与自动化加工的内涵,分析其在翻译过程中的存在性,进而初步探索了译者控制加工与自动化加工的心理机制;进一步分析影响译者控制加工与自动化加工的因素及两者之间的关系;在此基础上构建译者控制加工与自动化加工模型,并讨论译者控制加工与自动化加工能力的提高。 从研究目的看,本文属解释性研究;从研究用途看,属理论研究。其研究结果如下:(1)依据文献研究及理论推导,,译者控制加工与自动化加工在翻译过程中是存在的。译者控制加工是译者确定问题及解决问题的过程,译者自动化加工是译者快速理解表达的过程。(2)译者控制加工与自动化加工的心理机制强调长时记忆与工作记忆的互动。原语信息先激活提取长时记忆中与其相匹配的目的语信息,提取失败后再进入工作记忆加工。因此,译者工作记忆容量大小、长时记忆中知识的量与质、原语文本内信息的难易程度及熟悉度对译者控制加工及自动化加工产生影响。(3)自动化加工加工译者的常用词汇及句型,为长难句及语篇的控制加工提供可能,是其基础;控制加工可修正和弥补自动化加工的缺漏,两者并行互补。译者控制加工与自动化加工能力的提高及控制加工向自动化加工的转化可通过长期不断的真实或仿真实翻译练习得以实现。 本文尝试性地探讨译者控制加工与自动化加工的心理机制,揭示译者语言认知心理活动及其规律,旨在促进对翻译过程中译者认知加工方式更全面的认识,丰富翻译过程理论,译者控制加工与自动化加工能力的发展,对MTI翻译教学提供参考。
[Abstract]:Since the eighties of the 20th century, the study of translation cognitive process has become the focal point of translation research. Researchers take the translator as the center and use the cognitive psychology theory to analyze the translator's translation behavior and study the regularity of the translator's brain activity. Rich results have been achieved. Among them, in the way of information processing of translators, scholars use top-down processing and bottom-up processing, parallel processing and sequence processing to study the translator's translation psychological activities. However, the two groups of processing methods can not completely generalize the cognitive process of translation. Control processing and automatic processing are also a way of cognitive information processing, and translation process is also a cognitive information processing process. Therefore, the present study suggests that it is necessary to further study the two ways of control processing and automatic processing. Based on the research results of translation cognitive process and the theory of cognitive psychology, this thesis explores the translator's controlled processing and automated processing, and tries to construct a model of translator's controlled processing and automated processing. Deepen the understanding of the black box of the brain in the process of translation. This paper mainly explores the connotation of the translator's controlled and automated processing, analyzes its existence in the process of translation, and then explores the psychological mechanism of the translator's controlling and automatic processing. On the basis of the analysis of the factors affecting the translator's control and automation and the relationship between them, the model of the translator's controlled and automated processing is constructed, and the improvement of the translator's ability to control and automate the machining is discussed. From the point of view of research purpose, this paper belongs to explanatory research, and from the point of view of research purpose, it belongs to theoretical research. The research results are as follows: (1) according to literature research and theoretical derivation, translators' controlled processing and automatic processing exist in the process of translation. The process of translator's control is the process of problem determination and problem solving, and the process of translator's automation is the process of translator's rapid understanding and expression. (2) the psychological mechanism of translator's controlling and automating processing emphasizes the interaction between long-term memory and working memory. The original information is activated to extract the target language information in long-term memory, and then to work memory processing. Therefore, the working memory capacity of translators, the quantity and quality of knowledge in long-term memory, The degree of difficulty and familiarity of the information in the original text has an effect on the translator's controlling and automating processing. (3) the common vocabulary and sentence patterns of the translator are processed automatically, which provides the possibility for the controlled processing of long difficult sentences and discourses. The control machining can correct and remedy the defects of automatic machining, and the two can complement each other in parallel. The improvement of the translator's ability to control processing and automation and the transformation from control to automation can be realized through the continuous practice of translation of reality or imitation of reality for a long time. This paper attempts to probe into the psychological mechanism of translator's controlling and automating processing and to reveal the translator's cognitive psychological activities and their rules in order to promote a more comprehensive understanding of the translator's cognitive processing and enrich the translation process theory. The development of translator's ability to control and automate processing provides a reference for MTI translation teaching.
