从填空式视译看预测在视译中的重要性

【摘要】:基于完形填空和口译同是基于知识的预测过程,且根据实证表明:听力式的完形填空可以作为检测学生译员能力倾向的一种测试手段,本论文尝试性地设计了填空式视译,将完形填空与视译结合在一起,来观察预测能力对视译的影响程度。本论文旨在回答以下几个问题: 1)完形填空与视译是否在预测能力方面有着显著的相关性? 2)填空式视译能否有效区别学生译员在视译过程中的预测能力? 3)填空式视译能否有效加强学生译员的预测能力,从而提高视译的整体水平? 本论文进行了实验论证,实验分为两个阶段。第一阶段的研究对象为32名上海外国语大学大四英语专业学生,所有被试将同时完成完形填空和填空式视译测试,以观察完形填空和视译是否在预测能力方面有着显著的相关性,并根据学生完形填空成绩,将其分为四组进行对比分析,,进一步观察预测能力对视译的影响程度。实验第二阶段的研究对象为上海外国语大学26名大二英语专业学生,所有被试分别进行两次视译测试,第二篇测试在被试已练习三到半周的填空式视译之后展开,旨在证明预测能力的加强,可以有效地提高学生译员的整体视译水平。根据本论文的实验结果分析,可以得到以下结论: 1)填空式视译可以有效甄别学生译员在视译过程中的预测能力。 2)填空式视译可以作为提高学生译员视译能力的有效教学手段。
[Abstract]:Based on the fact that cloze and interpretation are both knowledge-based prediction processes and that listening cloze can be used as a test method to test the students' ability tendency, this thesis attempts to design a blank-filled visual translation. The cloze is combined with visual translation to observe the influence of predictive ability on visual translation. This thesis aims to answer the following questions: 1) is there a significant correlation between cloze filling and visual translation in terms of predictive ability? 2) can empty visual translation effectively distinguish student interpreters in the visual translation process? (3) can the student interpreter's prediction ability be effectively enhanced by the blank-filled visual translation? So as to improve the overall level of visual translation? The experiment is divided into two stages. In the first phase of the study, 32 senior English majors from Shanghai Foreign Studies University completed both cloze and blank-filled visual translation tests. In order to observe whether cloze filling and visual translation have significant correlation in predicting ability, and according to students' cloze score, we divide them into four groups for comparative analysis, and further observe the influence of predictive ability on visual translation. In the second stage of the experiment, 26 sophomore English majors from Shanghai Foreign Studies University were studied. All the subjects underwent two visual translation tests. The second test was conducted after the subjects had practiced three to half weeks of blank translation. The purpose of this paper is to prove that the enhancement of predictive ability can effectively improve the overall visual translation of student interpreters. According to the experimental results of this paper, The following conclusions can be drawn: 1) the blank-filled visual translation can effectively identify the student interpreter's predictive ability in the process of visual translation, and 2) the blank-filled visual translation can be used as an effective teaching method to improve the students' visual translation ability.
