隐喻理解与翻译的认知视角

　　传统上,隐喻被看作是一种修辞方法,是语言的装饰。但是随着人们对语言学的认识和研究的提高以及心理学的研究被引入到语言学的研究中,人们对隐喻的研究不断深入,隐喻不再简单的被看作是修辞手段,而被认为是人们认知世界的一种方式。20世纪80年代George Lakoff和Mark Johnson在合著的Metaphors We LiveBy（《我们赖以生存的隐喻》）中提出概念隐喻理论,指出隐喻本质上是人们将其在某一领域的经验（始源域）用来说明和理解另一领域的经验（目标域）的认知活动,由此隐喻被上升到“认知方式”和“推理机制”这一高度来理解。翻译的本质在于意义的传递,因此,本文认为隐喻翻译的本质也应以意义传递为主。隐喻翻译过程包含隐喻意义的理解过程和隐喻在目的语中再表达两个过程。首先,本文以认知为视角,从Lakoff的概念隐喻理论出发,探讨了隐喻（本文主要指规约隐喻）意义的理解过程——隐喻的辨认和隐喻意义的推断,并分析了文化差异和个人体验差异对隐喻理解的影响。其次,本文结合翻译的本质,研究了隐喻再表达过程。针对隐喻的再表达,本文围绕概念域映射的不同情况提出了四种翻译方法：概念域对等映射、概念域归化...
