委婉语交际的认知语用分析

作为一种普遍存在的语言现像,委婉语在帮助人们顺利实现交际目的,维护人际关系和谐方面起着不可忽视的作用,因此有人称委婉语为人类交际的“润滑油”。这种几乎是伴随着人类文明产生的表达方式,自古以来都受到广大学者们的普遍关注。传统的修辞学领域对委婉语的研究基本停留在词汇层面。现代语言学家们从语义学、语用学、社会语言学和认知语言学等角度在词汇、句法以至篇章层面对委婉语进行了较为深入的研究,并且取得了丰硕的成果,为后人进一步的研究提供了很大方便。 以认知语用为基础的关联理论为语用学提供了一个更加科学全面的视角,具有重大的理论和现实意义。本文以Sperber和Wilson的关联理论为框架来研究日常生活中的委婉语。回顾了委婉语在各个研究领域中的相关文献之后,论文探讨了关联理论中认知语境、最佳关联、推理以及最基本的明示-推理的交际模式等与本研究密切相关的理论基础。论文着重从说话人的明示行为和听话人的推理两方面对委婉语交际进行了阐释。关联理论对委婉语交际中的说话人的明示行为有着一定的限制,对听话人的推理有着重大的指导意义。委婉语在本质上是一种言语的间接表达行为,因此听话人不能直接推测出说话人的真...
