从关联理论角度看隐喻的翻译

　　隐喻是人类生活中的一部分：它不仅在日常语言交流中无处不在,而且存在于更为抽象的人类认知思维和行为之中。隐喻研究经历了较为漫长的历史发展阶段,人们也越来越认识到它不仅是用来装饰语言的一种修辞手段,而且还是人类思维体系的基础。由于隐喻的这一特征,隐喻的理解很大程度上依赖语境分析,而各种语言又受到文化差异的影响和制约,因此隐喻的可译性问题以及如何最大限度地降低隐喻的不可译程度成为隐喻翻译研究的焦点和难题。Sperber和Wilson(1986)提出的关联理论为隐喻翻译研究开辟了新的视角。该理论重在研究人类交际中说话人与听话人的认知思维活动,认为人类语言交际是一个通过寻找关联而进行明示——推理的过程,而理论中对如何获得最佳关联问题以及语境等因素重要性的阐释为隐喻翻译提供了十分有价值的参考。译者身兼两职,既是原文读者又是译文作者,即关联理论中的听话人和说话人；关联理论的应用为译者对隐喻的理解和创作和方法选择提供了合理的解释和分析。 本论文旨在从关联理论角度出发归纳总结出有效的隐喻翻译方法。通过分析关联理论和隐喻翻译的关系以及关联理论对隐喻翻译的指导性意义,作者从该理论角度出发总结出了五个隐喻翻译...
