中美商务沟通的拒绝言语行为研究

本文以Austin和Searle的言语行为理论,拒绝言语行为理论以及Brown & Levinson的面子理论为理论依据,对中美在商务沟通的拒绝言语行为进行了对比研究。 本研究采用问卷法收集语料,问卷的设计参照了Beebe等学者的“语篇补全测试”(DCT)模板,并作了修改,使得本问卷中的问题符合商务环境。本文对选取出来的60份反馈问卷进行了细致的研究,其中包括30名来自中国外贸公司人员的问卷和30名来自美国外贸公司人员的问卷,数据分析采用定量和定性分析相结合的方法。通过比较拒绝言语行为策略的使用频率,进而分析社会地位和社会距离等因素对拒绝言语行为表达方式的影响。由于中美文化之间存在差异,影响着中美在商务沟通中拒绝言语行为策略的选择,在此基础上对文化参数进行分析,找出起决定作用的文化因素。 本研究表明,在使用拒绝言语行为的策略上,中美既有相似之处,但也有明显的差异。在商务沟通中,当上级拒绝下级时,中国人在实施这一言语行为时更倾向于直接拒绝的策略,而大多数美国人则更多的采取委婉策略;当下级拒绝上级时,中国人则倾向于使用间接策略以表礼貌,而美国人直接策略使用的较多;当二者社会地位平等...
