美国法庭口译员角色之困境

【摘要】：法庭上口译员扮演的角色究竟是"公正的翻译机器式的口译员"还是"语言文化桥梁式的口译员"?本文从行为标准、普通法准则、辩护译员、移民新潮等几个角度全面介绍和界定了美国法庭口译员的角色和职能。司法行业需要关注语言文化现象,更要关注口译过程的复杂性。法庭不能对司法口译员的角色施以机械式的管理模式,因为,口译员不仅是跨越语言障碍的交流工具,他们还应该是自由的、能够积极掌控沟通交流过程的,是以人类互动和跨文化交流专家身份从事职业化工作的专业人士。
[Abstract]:Is the role played by interpreters in court "just and machine-style interpreters" or "interpreters of the bridge of language and culture"?This paper comprehensively introduces and defines the roles and functions of American court interpreters in terms of standards of conduct, common law norms, defence interpreters, and immigration trends.The judicial profession needs to pay attention to the phenomenon of language and culture, but also to the complexity of interpretation process.The court cannot impose a mechanical management model on the role of judicial interpreters, because interpreters are not only tools of communication across the language barrier, they should also be free and able to actively control the communication process.Is a human interaction and cross-cultural exchanges as experts engaged in professional work professionals.
