说“赘婿”——兼谈“赘”与“质”的核心义

【摘要】："赘""质"二词都有"抵押"义,但从核心义角度分析,"质"的核心义为"相当","赘"的核心义是"多余",二者的侧重点不同,意义发展走向也不同,因此以"质婿"解释"赘婿"是不准确的。
[Abstract]:Both the word "redundancy" and "quality" have the meaning of "mortgage", but from the point of view of core meaning, the core meaning of "quality" is "equivalent", and the core meaning of "redundancy" is "superfluous". Therefore, it is not accurate to use the term "son-in-law" to explain "redundant son-in-law".
