共选理论视角下对海事公约中二项式的研究

【摘要】：二项式作为一种普遍存在的语言现象,在修辞学、韵律学和语义学中都有涉及。自1959年Malkiel提出此概念以来,越来越多的学者开始对二项式进行理论和实证的研究。本文以自建海事公约语料库中172个二项式为研究对象,以弗斯语料库语言学中的共选理论和扩展意义单位为理论框架,对海事公约中不同词性的二项式的分布特点、外在的形式特点、内在的语义关系,以及节点词的共选特点进行了定性和定量分析。前三项是以语料库中所有的二项式为整体进行综合分析,而后一项是过对七个代表性的高频二项式进行分析。通过观察二项式及其节点词的搭配词、类连接模式和语义趋向,节点词之间的共选特点以及二项式与节点词之间的联系得以归纳总结。研究结果发现,海事公约中名词二项式的比例最大且频率最高;少量二项式允许有连接词的替换和语序的调换;反义、近似义和语义相关是海事公约二项式节点词之间最常见的语义关系;节点词和二项式可在一定程度上共享搭配词、类连接模式和语义趋向。从共选理论和扩展意义单位的角度进行研究,有利于打破单个词的限制,进一步揭示海事公约中二项式的形成缘由。本研究探索了二项式研究的新模式,具有一定的创新性和理论意义。通过分析海事公约中二项式的特点,也为其他学习者理解此种特殊构式的作用和意义提供了借鉴。
[Abstract]:As a universal linguistic phenomenon, binomial is involved in rhetoric, prosody and semantics. Since Malkiel put forward this concept in 1959, more and more scholars have studied binomial theory and practice. This paper takes 172 binomials in the self-built corpus of maritime conventions as research objects, and takes coselection theory and extended meaning units in Verse corpus linguistics as theoretical framework to study the distribution characteristics of binomial of different parts of speech in maritime conventions. Qualitative and quantitative analysis are made on external formal features, internal semantic relations and coselection of nodal words. The first three items are analyzed synthetically with all binomials in the corpus, and the latter one is the analysis of seven representative high frequency binomial. By observing the collocation of binomial and its nodal words, the pattern of class connection and semantic tendency, the characteristics of coselection between nodal words and the relationship between binomial and nodal words, the conclusion can be summarized. The results show that the proportion and frequency of noun binomial is the highest in maritime conventions; a few binomials allow the substitution of conjunctions and word order; Approximate meaning and semantic correlation are the most common semantic relations between binomial nodal words of maritime convention, and node words and binomial words can share collocation words, class join patterns and semantic trends to some extent. From the angle of co-selection theory and extended unit of meaning, it is helpful to break the limitation of single word and further reveal the formation reason of binomial in maritime convention. This study explores a new model of binomial research, which has some innovative and theoretical significance. By analyzing the characteristics of binomial in maritime convention, it also provides reference for other learners to understand the function and significance of this special construction.
