英汉新闻标题中的隐喻对比分析

二十世纪七十年代,隐喻在世界范围内成为一个热门话题。自从九十年代以来,隐喻成为认知语言学的重点研究课题之一。在过去的几十年中,哲学家、心理学家、语言学家开始承认隐喻是语言和思维不可缺少的基础,认为隐喻是语言的普遍现象,隐喻性是语言的自身特性。隐喻曾被看作是一种修辞方法和语言装饰,甚至是语言正常用法的偏离。与之相反的是,以Lakoff和Johnson为代表的认知语言学家认为,隐喻不但是一种通过语言表达思想的方式,而且是一种思维方式。Lakoff和Johnson提出了概念隐喻这一概念,并对英语中的许多概念隐喻加以研究,譬如,"ARGUMENT IS WAR"等。许多外国学者从认知角度对概念隐喻做了大量的研究。在过去的几年里,由中国学者从认知角度研究概念隐喻的文章出现在各种杂志和期刊中。然而对英汉概念隐喻的对比研究仍不多见,大部分研究也仅局限于对外国理论的引进以及独立的研究。当读者打开一张报纸时,首先映入眼帘的是新闻标题。读者会根据自己的目的和兴趣,选择几篇报导来阅读。因此,标题对于一则新闻的成败起着尤为重要的作用。为了使标题语言更加丰富、生动,并激发读者阅读的欲望,新闻标题制作者往往将大量...
