角色指称语法视角下的汉英连动结构对比研究

【摘要】：从普遍意义上来说,如果一个句子包含并置的两个或更多动词短语,其间没有任何明显的连接语素标记,那么这种句法结构就被定义为“连动结构”(serial verb construction, SVC),该结构并不是世界语言的共性,而只是存在部分语言中,具有一定的区域性。汉语是比较典型的“连动型语言”(serializing language),该领域的研究已有半个多世纪的历史,并取得了丰硕的研究成果。然而世界范围内语言学界对连动结构的传统认识将英语这门语言置之度外,直到近些年才逐渐出现相关文献说明英语中也存在一种语法结构(即catenative verb construction, CVC),其语义、句法层面的特征符合SVCs所具备的普遍基本特点,得出英语中的CVCs就是SVCs。结合本领域的相关研究成果以及新动态,本文把英语纳入连动结构的范畴,在对比语言学的大框架内,基于角色指称语法并运用演绎与归纳的方法,对收集的语料进行定性分析,着重从句法和语义的角度探究汉英连动结构的异同点,这种跨语言的对比描写分析有利于更深入的了解连动结构的范围以及它在不同语言中的不同体现。这种对比分析使得我们可以站在汉语的角度去观察世界语言的独特个性,同时也让我们能够从不同语言的特征中了解汉语的特色。更重要的是,虽然SVC的研究成果颇丰,但比较缺乏汉英对比研究的实践,从该方向着手的研究并不丰富,本文探究的内容恰好能够丰富该领域的研究内容。运用角色指称语法中关于语义、句法的理论观点对汉英连动结构所做的对比研究得出,汉、英连动结构之间,在子句联结标记元素、子句联结关系、句型模板以及子句间语义关系这几个层面上既存在共同点也表现出独特的差异性。理论分析和实际应用相结合的研究才具有生命力。本文所做的分析虽然是理论研究性的,但也不缺实际应用性,连动式本体研究的理论成果能够转化为对外汉语教学的社会实践,它能够有效指导对外汉语教学的开展。另外,对英语教学和翻译也具有借鉴意义。
