　　本文运用皮埃尔·布迪厄的文学社会学的研究方法来分析凯瑟琳·曼斯菲尔德和文学杂志之间的复杂关系。本文着重探究曼斯菲尔德这一作家在现代主义文学场中是如何生成的。本文不仅探讨了文学杂志如何塑造了曼斯菲尔德这一作家；也研究了她在创作晚期如何在文学杂志上引领了现代主义文学风潮。第一章研究曼斯菲尔德如何通过与文学刊物的互动逐步完善她的现代主义审美思想。一方面,她通过社会主义刊物《新时代》和野兽派刊物《节奏》获得了文化资本。另一方面,她通过《雅典娜》和大众刊物《伦敦信使》获得了更大的读者群。第二章研究曼斯菲尔德在文学刊物上体现出的性别政治倾向,并通过文本,人际关系以及刊物的审美政治三个层面探究她的女性审美思想如何日趋成熟。第三章将作家和文学杂志放到现代主义和帝国版图之间的关系的大背景中来研究曼斯菲尔德不同创作时期的文化归属。曼斯菲尔德的早期创作通过叙事异装癖的方式呈现出一种矛盾的文化认同模式。而她的晚期创作则体现出一种回归故国的姿态,彰显了与日俱增的文化自信。总之,本文着重研究了作家曼斯菲尔德和文学期刊之间的互动关系。这种互动关系主要通过三个层面展开：文本、人际关系和以主编以及核心成员为代表的刊物政治...
