以善说性抑或以性说善——孟子性善说新解

【摘要】:孟子的性善说并非“以善说性”,亦即对人性的全部内容作价值性的评判,而是“以性说善”,亦即说明本真性的善的可能性条件。孟子性善说的基本意涵可作如下诠释:源于人性的四端之心,先天本具为善的充足能力;作为情感与理性的内在统一,在本真的状态下,四端之心之为善能力的发用具有自发性和直接性。换言之,作为道德主体的四端之心的为善不涉任何功利性的考量,同时四端之心也不以任何外在的规范作为道德实践的准则,毋宁说,四端之心本身即是善的“决定因”。以上可说是对孟子性善义较为完整的揭示。
[Abstract]:Mencius' theory of sexual goodness is not to judge the whole content of human nature by virtue, but to say good by nature, that is to say, the possibility of explaining the goodness of true nature. The basic meaning of Mencius' theory of sexual goodness can be explained as follows: it originates from the four ends of human nature and has the sufficient ability to be good; as the inner unity of emotion and reason, it is in the true state. The four ends of the mind for the development of good power has spontaneity and directness. In other words, the mind of the four ends of the moral subject does not involve any utilitarian consideration, and the mind of the four ends does not take any external norms as the criterion of moral practice, rather, the mind of the four ends itself is the "determinant cause" of the good. The above can be said to be a relatively complete disclosure of Mencius' nature and good meaning.
