功能主义视角下的国际商务英语合同汉译策略研究

目前国际商务英语合同汉译大都采用“自上而下”的翻译方法。这种方法缺乏系统的理论指导,只注重微观层面的处理,因而有时造成合同汉译文本功能难以实现。本文以功能主义翻译理论为框架,系统地整理、分析、综述了“自下而上”的国际商务英语合同的汉译系列方法,创造性地探讨了“自上而下”的国际商务英语合同的汉译策略。全文包括下列五章:第一章是引言。简要说明了英文合同汉译的现状,存在的问题及造成这些问题的原因,从而突出本文研究的目的和意义。第二章概述了合同文本的特点,介绍了合同的定义和分类,阐述了英文国际商务合同的语言特征,旨在提高译者对国际商务英语合同微观层面的认识,为翻译实践做好铺垫。第三章为理论回顾和应用于合同翻译实践的理论层面可行性分析,概述了德国翻译学派提出的功能主义的起源及发展,该学派主要代表人物的观点及其对翻译领域的贡献,分析了功能主义指导国际商贸合同翻译在理论层面的可行性和局限性。第四章探索了功能主义框架下的合同翻译策略。从实践出发,结合国际商务英语合同的语言特征,指出在功能主义理论的框架下,要提高译者的地位,重塑译者的道德规范,就应该给予译者在合同翻译行为中适当的决策自由;论证了译文质量...
