英文商务合同中的替代

　　语篇分析是一门新兴的学科,自上个世纪五十年代兴起以来至今发展迅猛。语篇分析以应用中的语言为研究对象,旨在更好的了解各种语篇如何在现实生活交际中发挥作用。这一学科的发展在很大程度上丰富了翻译理论,使得翻译有了更新的发展。衔接既是语篇分析的中心议题,也是翻译关注的一大焦点。正因为如此,衔接在翻译中的应用非常可行。英文商务合同作为一种特殊且典型的语篇,吸引了众多学者的关注。他们中大多数人的研究集中在合同文体本身所具有的一些特征,如正式语、古词语、长句、专业术语、名词化等等方面,当然也有一些学者对商务合同语篇的文体风格做过探究,但就作为衔接手段之一的替代在这样一个特殊的语篇中运用及发挥语言功能的状况并未提出太多的见解。基于这种现状,本文以Halliday和Hasan的衔接理论为指导,同时结合胡壮麟教授等其他学者关于替代的相关理论,通过对所搜集到的典型例文进行分析、比较和归纳,力图揭示各种具体的替代手法在英文商务合同中的使用情况及其功能,从而对英文商务合同的阅读、翻译、起草及教学起到一定的借鉴作用。通过比较分析,本文得出以下结论:在英文商务合同中,共有四种替代。除了韩礼德和哈桑提出的名词替代、动...
