“后物质主义”价值观与当代中国公众的政治信任——以代际差异为视角的比较分析

【摘要】：本文以公众的价值观变迁及其与政治信任关系为核心议题,旨在考察当代中国公众在经过高速的经济发展后,其价值观是否出现转型?这种转型是否以及在哪些领域对公众的政治信任产生影响?为此,本文以世界价值观调查(WVS)中中国大陆的五波数据(1989—2014)为样本,以"后物质主义价值观"以及"代际差异"理论为分析框架,运用多元回归的分析方法对当代中国不同世代群体的政治价值观变迁以及这种变迁对于其政治信任的影响进行考察。研究发现,当代中国公众价值观的"后物质主义"呈现出较为明显的"代际递增"与"时代递增"的趋势;公众的政治信任水平则呈现出"代际递减"的特征;伦理价值观的"后物质主义"对成长于改革开放之后的年轻群体的政治信任具有一定意义的侵蚀作用。本文的研究证明社会发展所带来的公众价值观的变迁可以作为解释当代中国公众,尤其是年轻群体政治信任下降的文化变量,这一发现将扩大政治信任影响因素的研究视域。然而,由于研究视角集中在经济发展所带来的公众价值观变迁,本文并未将建国初期的政治运动与全面政治动员对公众价值观以及政治信任的影响纳入研究范围,这一问题值得在后续的研究中深入探讨。
[Abstract]:This paper focuses on the change of public values and the relationship between public values and political trust in order to investigate whether the values of the contemporary Chinese public have been transformed after the rapid economic development. Does this transition have an impact on public political trust in what areas? Therefore, this paper takes the five-wave data from the Chinese mainland in the World values Survey (WVS) as a sample, and takes the theory of "post-materialistic values" and "intergenerational differences" as the analytical framework. This paper investigates the changes of political values of different generations of groups in contemporary China and their influence on political trust by using the method of multiple regression. The "post-materialism" of contemporary Chinese public values shows a more obvious trend of "intergenerational increasing" and "times increasing", while the level of public political trust shows the characteristics of "intergenerational decline". The post-materialism of ethical values has a significant effect on the political trust of the young groups who have grown up after the reform and opening up. The research in this paper proves that the changes of public values brought by the social development can lead to the change of public values. As an explanation for the contemporary Chinese public, In particular, the cultural variables of the decline in political trust among young people will expand the horizon of research on the factors affecting political trust. However, since the research perspective focuses on the changes in public values brought about by economic development, This paper does not include the influence of political movement and overall political mobilization on public values and political trust in the early days of the founding of the people's Republic of China.
