美国大学排名研究及启示

【摘要】:大学排名作为高等教育社会评价的主要形式,同时也是高等教育质量保障的重要手段。如何通过有效的评估机构协同模式整合社会资源、如何运用科学合理的指标体系反映高等教育利益相关者需求、如何利用排名结果促使高校改进教育质量,研究上述问题对进一步完善我国高等教育质量保障体系,保障与提高我国高等教育质量具有重要意义。我国大学排名工作在高等教育工作者的努力与有关部门支持下已取得一定成效,但由于起步较晚,在评估主体合作形式、评价指标科学性、结果应用有效性等方面存在较大的改进与完善空间。大学排名起源于美国,作为美国高等教育质量保障的重要手段已有30年之久,21世纪以来,美国大学排名系统日趋成熟。以美国大学排名为研究对象,进行系统分析、案例研究,有助于深化对美国大学排名评估主体、指标体系、结果应用等方面的认知,通过比较研究,将有助于我国借鉴国外先进经验,对我国大学排名工作进行有益的补充,进一步完善具有中国特色的高等教育质量保障体系。本文以系统科学理论为基础,以美国大学排名为主要研究对象,对具有代表性的三个大学排名——全美博士点质量评估、《美国新闻与世界报道》大学排名、《华盛顿月刊》大学排名进行案例研究,从评估主体、指标体系、结果应用三个方面进行深入探析,总结归纳出美国大学排名具有多元主体协同模式、多层次评估指标以及高效结果应用等特点,并以此为基础进行中美大学排名对比分析,为我国大学排名工作提出对策与建议。
[Abstract]:As the main form of social evaluation of higher education, university ranking is also an important means to guarantee the quality of higher education. How to integrate social resources through effective evaluation organization coordination mode, how to use scientific and reasonable index system to reflect the needs of higher education stakeholders, how to use ranking results to promote the improvement of educational quality in colleges and universities, and how to use the index system to reflect the needs of higher education stakeholders. The study of the above problems is of great significance to further improve the quality assurance system of higher education in China and to guarantee and improve the quality of higher education in China. The work of university ranking in our country has achieved some results with the efforts of the higher education workers and the support of the relevant departments. However, due to the late start, the evaluation index is scientific in the form of the evaluation of the main body of cooperation. Results there is much room for improvement and improvement in application effectiveness. University ranking originated in the United States, as an important means of ensuring the quality of higher education in the United States has been 30 years since the 21st century, American university ranking system is becoming more and more mature. Taking the ranking of American universities as the research object, the systematic analysis and case study are helpful to deepen the cognition of the evaluation subject, the index system and the application of the results of the ranking of American universities. It will be helpful for our country to draw lessons from the advanced experience of foreign countries, make a beneficial supplement to the ranking work of universities in our country, and further improve the quality assurance system of higher education with Chinese characteristics. Based on the theory of systems science, this paper takes the ranking of American universities as the main research object. A case study of three representative university rankings-National doctoral quality Assessment, American News and World report rankings, Washington monthly University rankings, from the assessment subjects, the indicator system, Results based on the analysis of three aspects, the author concludes that the ranking of American universities has the characteristics of multi-agent coordination model, multi-level evaluation index and the application of high-efficiency results, and makes a comparative analysis of the ranking of Chinese and American universities on the basis of this. Put forward the countermeasure and suggestion for our country university rank work.
