[Abstract]:Selective mutism usually refers to a behavior in which children have no problems with their listening ability and vocal organs, but they refuse to speak in a specific social situation or character for a long time, while in other situations they talk about normal behavior. Since 1980's, the research on selective mutism has been increasing in foreign countries, and great achievements have been made in etiology and intervention, but there is a lack of effective methods to prove the effect of intervention. In recent years, some scholars in our country have also started to dabble in relevant studies, and have made some discoveries, but the systematic research on the intervention of selective mutism education in children is very rare. Based on the analysis of the related research results and deficiencies at home and abroad, this study introduces the reverse design and tries to use quantitative method to carry out the case intervention study. Using selective mutism assessment tools and interviews, the researchers identified a child with selective mutism, using semi-structured games as intervention schemes, teachers, peers and parents as intervention agents. Based on relationship reconstruction and emotional change, the child was involved in a seven-month game intervention. Several variables were observed by using the children's game observation coding table and other tools. The results of reverse experiment and qualitative analysis show that oral verbal communication of individual cases appears and increases gradually; anxiety is reduced; communication scope is expanded, teacher-child relationship is improved, peer relationship is improved, and intervention has obvious effect. This study shows that the design of a targeted semi-structured game scheme is effective to improve children's selective mutism symptoms. On this basis, some educational suggestions are put forward to teachers and parents.
