政治风险、技术外部性与FDI——一个内生模型的理论分析

【摘要】：通过文献整理发现,现有的研究承认政治风险对于跨国公司FDI具有重要负面影响,但是这些研究均将政治风险视为外生政策变量,无法回答政治风险产生的根本动因是什么,也无法解释政治风险影响东道国与跨国公司利益分配的具体途径。通过建立一个古典内生模型,提出技术外部性假说,首次将政治风险纳入到理论模型分析框架中去,从而实现政治风险的内生化。研究发现,技术外部性是决定政治风险大小的重要原因,进而也决定了东道国与跨国公司的收益分配,跨国公司的最优投资策略应该与东道国不没收外资的激励相容。
[Abstract]:Through literature review, it is found that existing studies admit that political risk has an important negative impact on FDI of multinational corporations, but these studies regard political risk as an exogenous policy variable, and can not answer what is the fundamental cause of political risk. It is impossible to explain how political risk affects the distribution of benefits between host country and multinational corporation. By establishing a classical endogenous model and putting forward the hypothesis of technological externality, political risk is brought into the theoretical model analysis framework for the first time. The study found that technological externality is an important reason for determining the size of political risk, and thus determines the distribution of income between host country and multinational corporation. The optimal investment strategy of MNCs should be compatible with the incentive of host country not to confiscate foreign capital.
