美国经济思想史上一场被忽视的方法论之争

【摘要】：从19世纪70年代到20世纪40年代,美国经济思想史上发生过一场方法论之争,争论首先发生在受德国历史学派影响的年轻一代美国经济学家与信奉古典经济学的老一代经济学家之间,而后演变为制度主义与新古典经济学两个学术传统之间的争论。但这场争论往往被忽视。本文分三个阶段系统回顾了这场争论的历史,用科学知识社会学的方法评述了争论的实质,并对争论涉及的一些基本问题进行了反思。
[Abstract]:From 1870s to 1940s, there was a controversy on methodology in the history of American economic thought. The debate first took place between the younger generation of American economists influenced by the German school of history and the older generation of economists who believed in classical economics. Then it evolved into an argument between institutionalism and neo-classical economics. But this argument is often ignored. This paper systematically reviews the history of this argument in three stages. In this paper, the essence of the argument is reviewed with the method of sociology of scientific knowledge, and some basic problems involved in the argument are reconsidered.
