错失的机遇:美国大都市区的公交与就业

【摘要】：正该研究是布鲁金斯学会2009年启动的"大都市区的机会"系列(Metropolitan Infrastructure Initiative Series and Metropolitan Opportunity Series)中的子项目,从提供影响大都市区公交可达范围和效率的背景因素开始,在阐述了用于表征美国最大的100个大都市区的数据和方法之后,报告给出了这些都市区内部和跨区公交特征的一系列测量结果,在这一过程中,它评估了相关于公交如何服务都市区的人口以及联系这些人口和就业岗位的区域性与地方性因素,这份报告最后为各个级别的政策制定者、雇主和工人提出了一系列启示。
[Abstract]:The study is a subproject of the Brookings Institution's "Metropolitan opportunities" series of (Metropolitan Infrastructure Initiative Series and Metropolitan Opportunity Series), launched in 2009, starting with providing background factors that affect the reach and efficiency of metropolitan transit. After describing the data and methods used to characterize the 100 largest metropolitan areas in the United States, the report presents a series of measurements of the characteristics of public transport within and across the metropolitan areas, and in the process, It assesses regional and local factors related to how public transport serves the population of metropolitan areas and links these populations and jobs. The report concludes with a series of revelations for policymakers, employers and workers at all levels.
