This paper is not only a summary of the artistic achievements of the cave 254 of Mogao Grottoes, but also a summary of the causes of color change of murals by a special case, and a summary report of the restoration of the author's color. Through systematic textual research on the original color of murals, this paper analyzes the composition and basic law of color in this cave, restores the historical scene, and then transforms it into the experience of artistic creation, and at the same time provides references for the color restoration and protection of murals to be instructive and feasible.
