自己做还是找人合作？开放性悖论下企业研发行为对产品创新的影响研究

【摘要】：独立研发和合作研发在企业实践中被普遍使用,但是企业往往会面临一个二元性的选择问题,为了能够实现创新收益的最大化,一些企业希望能够同时兼顾独立研发和合作研发。然而,现有的关于独立研发与合作研发关系的研究结论不一致。而我国企业目前正处于从模仿式创新向自主式创新的转型阶段,企业具有开展独立研发与合作研发的强烈需求。同时,知识是企业最重要的资产,知识产权现在常常被用来保护企业的核心知识以避免泄露。然而现有的研究表明,知识产权机制的作用具有双面性。有研究认为知识产权机制的使用更有利于产品的创新,还有研究表明产权机制会阻碍产品的创新。因此,本文将从开放性悖论的视角出发,在分别验证独立研发和合作研发对产品创新的作用基础上,重点探究两种研发行为同时进行时对产品创新的影响,并进一步考察知识产权机制对以上关系的影响。通过对286家制造企业的实证研究,发现:(1)独立研发与合作研发都对产品创新有积极的影响,但两者同时进行时却对产品创新具有消极的影响;(2)知识产权机制有利于促进独立、合作研发对产品创新的积极影响,削弱同时开展两种研发时对产品创新的消极影响。研究结论对于中国企业的研发行为具有理论指导和实践借鉴意义。
[Abstract]:Independent R & D and cooperative R & D are widely used in enterprise practice, but enterprises often face a dual choice problem, in order to maximize the benefits of innovation. Some companies want to be able to combine independent and cooperative R & D. however, The existing research conclusions on the relationship between independent R & D and cooperative R & D are not consistent. At present, Chinese enterprises are in the transition stage from imitative innovation to independent innovation, and enterprises have a strong demand for independent R & D and cooperative R & D. Knowledge is the most important asset of an enterprise, and intellectual property is now often used to protect the core knowledge of the enterprise from leakage. The role of intellectual property mechanism is dual. Some studies believe that the use of intellectual property mechanism is more conducive to product innovation, and other studies show that property rights mechanism will hinder product innovation. Therefore, this paper will proceed from the perspective of open paradox. On the basis of verifying the effect of independent R & D and cooperative R D on product innovation, the paper focuses on the impact of two R & D behaviors on product innovation. Through the empirical study of 286 manufacturing enterprises, it is found that both independent R & D and cooperative R & D have a positive impact on product innovation. But both have a negative impact on product innovation when they are going on at the same time. (2) the intellectual property mechanism is conducive to promoting independence, and cooperative R & D has a positive impact on product innovation. The conclusion of the study has theoretical guidance and practical significance for the R & D behavior of Chinese enterprises.
