利用英语报刊阅读提高学生词汇附带习得水平的研究

【摘要】：在外语学习中，词汇是影响学习效果的重要因素之一，尤其是对英语作为第二语言的学习者。因此，长期以来，词汇教学一直是研究者共同关注的话题。由于英语词汇种类多，如何有效地习得和掌握实用性词汇是关键。因此传统的词汇教学方式已经满足不了实际需要，词汇附带习得得到更多的重视。而英语新闻报刊具有时效性、新颖性、趣味性、全面性等特点，是学生学习英语词汇了解时事、政治、经济和文化的一个好途径。因而英语报刊开始越来越多地受到重视，甚至成为一种课程资源。一直以来，英语报刊的研究大多是关于如何提高阅读水平，英语报刊对提高学生词汇量也有重大意义。本研究把英语报刊英语报刊引入课堂教学来弥补课堂教学的不足，让学生在报刊阅读中附带习得词汇。本研究以鞍山某高校大二非英语专业两个班级60名学生为样本（N=60），两个班级学生英语水平相当。其中一个班级为实验班，另一个为对照班。实验运用测试、问卷、访谈来收集数据，进行定性分析和定量分析。通过对130份调查问卷的分析得出现阶段大学英语课堂及英语教材与英语报刊新闻有脱节。教师根据词汇附带习得理论及投入量假说，对实验班的学生进行良好的词汇学习策略指导，对照组的学生自主在报刊阅读中学习词汇。结果表明，，报刊阅读可以帮助学生词汇附带习得，同时提高学生的阅读理解能力，但是适当的投入量以及良好的学习策略更加有助于词汇学习。本研究得出的结论是英语报刊可以提高学生词汇附带习得水平，教师运用有效的词汇教学方法对学生进行指导，可以提高词汇学习的效果，对今后报刊阅读词汇教学的研究有重要启示。
[Abstract]:In foreign language learning, vocabulary is one of the important factors that influence the effect of learning, especially for English as a second language learners. Therefore, for a long time, vocabulary teaching has been a common concern of the researchers. Because of many kinds of topics of English vocabulary, how to effectively acquire and master the practical vocabulary is the key. So the traditional vocabulary teaching methods have been unable to meet the actual needs, incidental vocabulary acquisition has been paid more and more attention. While English newspapers have timeliness, novelty, fun, comprehensive features, students learn English vocabulary understanding, a good way of political, economic and cultural. So English newspapers began more and more attention and even become a kind of curriculum resources. Since the study of English newspapers are mostly about how to improve the level of reading English newspapers also have great significance to improve students' vocabulary.
The English newspaper English newspaper into the classroom teaching to make up for the lack of classroom teaching, let students incidental vocabulary acquisition in reading newspapers. This study by Anshan University sophomore non English Majors in two classes in a sample of 60 students (N=60), two classes of students English level. One class the experimental class, the other is the control class. The experimental test, questionnaire and interview to collect data, qualitative analysis and quantitative analysis. Based on 130 questionnaires of present college English class and English textbooks and English newspapers and news. There is a disconnect between the teachers according to the incidental vocabulary acquisition theory and the input hypothesis. Good vocabulary learning strategies to guide the students in the experimental class, the control group of students learning vocabulary in reading newspapers. The results show that the newspaper reading can help students incidental vocabulary acquisition, at the same time. High students' reading comprehension ability, but the appropriate amount of input and good learning strategies are more conducive to vocabulary learning.
The conclusion of this study is that English newspapers can improve students' incidental vocabulary acquisition. Teachers' effective vocabulary teaching methods can help students improve their vocabulary learning.
