【摘要】:网络时代的信息量迅猛增长,促进了存储技术的快速发展。现在,越来越多的计算机投入于企业、数据中心等开放式环境中。在这些应用中,峰值服务时存储数据量往往比其他时间要大很多。但是,为了保持峰值情况下服务质量一致性,不得不配置更多的存储设备。然而,这些存储设备的在日常情况下往往具有较低使用率。因此,根据应用服务的存储需求和应用特征来进行动态存储是非常有意义和价值的。 针对传统虚拟存储技术中资源预留及存储设备利用率较低等不足,提出了基于iSCSI的存储的思想。即根据应用系统的实际需求和应用特征来申请存储资源,并对空间利用率较低且长时间未访问的存储设备进行数据迁移。 首先,介绍了基于iSCSI的存储的应用环境,并讨论了系统中应用到的关键技术。分析了动态存储系统需要解决的问题及解决方案,并分析了该方案的可行性。其次,,着重介绍了原型系统的设计和实现。该系统包括客户端、服务器、存储资源代理三个部分,其中每个部分又包括有多个功能模块。其中,存储资源代理为系统提供存储设备,并完成对存储资源的分配操作。服务器将系统中所有的存储设备进行统一管理,构成存储池,并划分为固定大小的存储块。当客户端有实际需求时,根据存储需求以及应用特征向服务器请求存储资源。服务器根据负载均衡算法,选择合适的存储资源代理为客户端分配存储资源。另外,调度模块实时监测系统中所有的存储设备,将空间利用率较低且长时间未访问的存储设备进行数据迁移。 最后,验证了该系统所具有的功能,并对系统的性能进行了评测。实验结果表明,相对传统的虚拟化技术,采用动态存储机制后,读写性能并没有较大影响,应用系统的存储利用率可以提升30%~40%。另外,采用动态迁移技术,系统中存储设备的能耗得到降低。因此,动态存储机制是提高存储资源利用率和改善系统性能的有效方法。
[Abstract]:The amount of information in the network era of rapid growth, and promote the rapid development of storage technology. Now, more and more computer investment in enterprise, data center in open environment. In these applications, the data storage capacity of peak services more often than other time to be much larger. However, in order to maintain the peak under the condition of service quality consistency and have to configure more storage. However, these storage devices in everyday situations tend to have low utilization rate. Therefore, to carry out dynamic storage according to the application requirements and application characteristics of the storage service is very meaningful and valuable.
In view of the traditional virtual storage technology in resource reservation and storage equipment utilization rate is low, iSCSI is proposed based on the idea of storage. According to the actual demand and application characteristics of application system for storage resources, and the space utilization rate is low and the long time without access to storage devices for data transfer.
First of all, this paper introduces the application of iSCSI based storage, and discusses the key technologies applied in the system. The analysis of dynamic storage system needs to solve the problems and solutions, and analyzes the feasibility of the scheme. Secondly, this paper introduces the design and implementation of the prototype system. The system includes client and server. Storage resource broker in three parts, each part comprises a plurality of functional modules. The storage resource broker provides a storage device for the system, and complete the allocation of storage resources. The server will manage all storage devices in the system, a storage pool, and is divided into blocks of fixed size. When the client has the actual demand, according to the storage requirements and application characteristics of the request to the server. The server storage resources according to the load balancing algorithm, select proper storage resources for the client agent Allocate storage resources. In addition, the scheduling module monitors all storage devices in real time and migrates data with low utilization rate and long access.
Finally, the system has the function of authentication, and the performance of the system is evaluated. The experimental results show that compared with the traditional virtualization technology, the dynamic mechanism of memory, read and write performance is not affected, the application system can improve the utilization rate of storage 30%~40%. in addition, the dynamic migration technology, energy storage equipment in the system is reduced. Therefore, the dynamic storage mechanism is an effective method to improve the rate and improve the performance of the system using storage resources.
