The stiffness, damping and friction characteristics of the hydro pneumatic spring were formulated in this model. By the analysis of the nonlinear force of the hydro pneumatic spring, the spring′s stiffness can be simplified as a square nonlinear function. The nonlinear stiffness model of the suspension was analyzed through statistic linearization with random vibration theory, and a linearizing stiffness model was derived for the hydro pneumatic suspension. The simulation results reveal that the spring′s stiffness is increased with the increment of vehicle′s loads, but it is slightly decreased with the increment of the characteristic coefficient of roads.
