【摘要】：正1940年7月底的一天,陈毅率领东进的新四军来到了严徐庄。此庄位于黄桥镇西北郊12里,与周边的村庄相比较大,自南向北的五六排房屋中,拥有三四百家住户,因严姓占绝大多数而得名。这严姓是清中期由苏州阊门迁徙来到这里,后经五六代人的努力,成为拥有上千亩土地和二百多间瓦房的大家族。严家在庄中设了私塾,其子弟还有人出国留学,民国初年家中就已装上电话。当时,除严家这一"同世房"家族外,庄上的余大房等几家,也拥有200多间瓦房。这一人烟稠密的村落中间有一条宽近3米,
[Abstract]:One day in late July 1940, Chen Yi led the New fourth Army eastward to Yan Xuzhuang. The village is located 12 miles northwest of Huangqiao Town. Compared with the surrounding villages, there are three or four hundred households in five or six rows of houses from the south to the north. This strict surname came here from Changmen in Suzhou in the middle of the Qing Dynasty. Through the efforts of five or six generations, it became a large family with thousands of acres of land and more than 200 tile houses. The Yan family set up a private school in the village, and their children went abroad to study. The telephone had been installed at home in the early years of the Republic of China. At that time, in addition to the Yan family, in addition to the family, Zhuangzhang Yuda, and other houses, also have more than 200 tile houses.
