[Abstract]:Inter-group trust plays an important role in resolving inter-group conflicts, and inter-group trust is the prerequisite for all relationships to move towards a positive direction. Trust is the foundation of cooperation and the reality of harmony. At home and abroad, a large number of researches on the role of inter-group trust and its influencing factors have been carried out. It is found that inter-group trust is generally low, but most of the research on inter-group trust is based on schools and regions. Less attention is paid to the trust of the special social relationship between the locals and outsiders. In addition, there are few researches focusing on inter-group trust enhancement. Based on this, this study studied the influence of the threat of social identity and common denominator on inter-group trust. In the pre-experiment, 61 local people in Jincheng were selected as the research objects through the single-factor experimental design. It was found that the trust level of Jincheng people to the local people was significantly higher than that of the foreigners. In the first study, 114 Jincheng natives were selected to study the influence of social identity threat and common denominator focus on inter-group trust by using 2 (social identity threat: yes, no) and 2 (common focus: yes, no) intergroup experimental design. The results showed that: (1) the influence of social identity threat was significant, and the level of trust to outsiders in social identity threat group was significantly lower than that in non-threat group; (2) the influence of common denominator focus on inter-group trust was not significant. There was no significant difference in the level of trust between the common denominator group and the non-common denominator group; (3) the common denominator focus and the social identity threat had significant interaction, and the common denominator focus could weaken the social identity threat. In the second study, 119 Jincheng natives were chosen as subjects, using the (social identity threat: based on group, based on individual) * (common focus: yes, no) inter-group experimental design, to explore the situation of social identity threat, The influence of social identity threat types and commonalities on inter-group trust. The results show that: (1) Common focus has a significant effect on inter-group trust, that is, common focus enhances inter-group trust, (2) the influence of threat type of social identity is not significant. That is, there is no significant difference in trust level between individual and group-based threats of social identity; (3) the interaction between common focus and threat types of social identity is not significant. In conclusion, this study found that the threat of social identity reduces inter-group trust, and the common denominator focuses on the threat of social identity can enhance the trust of foreign groups.
