[Abstract]:The main urban area of Nanjing is chosen as the main research scope to reveal the gender difference and commonness of the social and economic attributes of migrant workers in the employment space through the comparison between men and women. By comparing the difference pattern of employment space between the two regions, we can see that the gender difference is obvious in most of the main urban areas, but there is also a small gender difference in the main urban area. The areas with obvious gender differences can be divided into four sub-characteristic areas according to the social and family characteristics, which are mainly distributed in the southern part of the main city, in the area of Zijinshan in the eastern part of the main city and in some scattered streets in the central part of the main city. The areas with little gender difference are mainly distributed in most areas of the old city, the north end of the main city and the northwest part of the main city. The formation of the social differentiation pattern of employment space between the two is influenced by the layout of commercial land and public facilities, scientific research institutes and hi-tech parks, the layout of large employers, the urban secondary industry, and so on. There is also the internal exclusion of the labor market, the traditional family concept and even the influence of individual and social factors such as gender discrimination. The common influence of these factors on the male and female migrant workers, the primary and secondary influence or the separate influence contributed to the above commonalities and differences.
