【摘要】：本文旨在考察爱德华二世的死亡与丧礼在爱德华王子继位过程中扮演的政治角色,由此揭示身体、王室礼制与中世纪王权之间的内在关联。为了化解王位转移所造成的张力,新政权不仅制造了爱德华二世的死亡假象,利用丧礼雕像为其举行一场隆重的葬礼,而且还处死营救老国王的埃德蒙,并以弑君罪判决莫蒂默。我们看到,一方面,正如西敏寺的皇家陵墓所显示的那样,中世纪王权的连续性奠基于历任国王身体间的连续性;另一方面,与王权相伴随的丧葬和祭拜礼制,在一定程度上保证王位能够顺利继承,并赋予新国王以仪式合法性。
[Abstract]:This article aims to examine the political role played by Edward S's death and funeral in the succession of Prince Edward, thus revealing the inner relationship between the body, the royal ceremony and the power of the middle ages.
