[Abstract]:At the invitation of United States Secretary of State John Kerry, Chinese State Oceanic Administration Director Liu Xigui visited the United States from June 16 to 17 to attend the International Maritime Congress on the theme "our Oceans", organized by the United States State Department. He also gave a keynote speech entitled "Marine Health and Science". During his stay in the United States, Liu also met with US Deputy Secretary of State Catherine Novelli and National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration Director Catherine Sullivan. U.S. Coast Guard Deputy Commander Peter Nefenger and other maritime officials held constructive talks.
