[Abstract]:Just after the Potsdam Proclamation, Japan issued several "beggars" on 1945 on 5th and 7th, fascist Germany announced its unconditional surrender. More than two months later, between July 27th and August 2nd, the new President of the United States, Harry Truman, British Prime Minister Winston Churchill, and the Chairman of the Soviet Union's Council of Ministers, Stalin, declared the end of the war in Europe. A meeting was held in Potsdam, a quiet town on the outskirts of Berlin. Churchill stepped down on July 28th and was immediately replaced by Prime Minister Edeli. The foreign ministers of the three countries attended the meeting. The army chief of staff also attended the meeting. The meeting was intended to urge Japan to surrender unconditionally, but China was unable to attend the meeting.
